About Us

Our founder, Rodolfo Magnus has spent more than three decades at the intersection of imagination, technology and engineering. His curiosity began during the space race, when he watched Neil Armstrong step onto the Moon, and deepened with Star Wars. Two later experiences gave that fascination a clear direction: Expo '92 in Seville, where nations used architecture, multimedia, fountains and projection to tell their stories, and Walt Disney World, where he saw technology and storytelling orchestrated into experiences that felt like magic. Realizing that computers alone were not enough, Rodolfo deliberately learned the other disciplines required to create complete experiences. He built a computer-animation studio, became a television producer and adopted digital editing early; in 1995, his company produced approximately 250 television commercials.

He later created two nationwide touring multimedia shows, developing his first show-control systems to synchronize video, audio, lighting and special effects. During their first five years, those productions sold one million tickets - proving that technical complexity mattered only when it created something audiences genuinely wanted to experience. In 2003, Rodolfo developed pneumatically operated 4D theater seats that synchronized motion, vibration, air, water and physical effects with film. The first installation opened at Fair Oaks Dairy Adventure in Indiana in 2005 and remains in operation more than two decades later. The technology subsequently reached Korea through Showscan Entertainment, followed by installations in India and at Siam Ocean World in Bangkok, Thailand. In Mexico, his teams converted conventional cinemas into 4D auditoriums, including installations with as many as 350 synchronized motion-and-effects seats in a single theater.

About Us

His work continued to grow in scale and variety. Between 2006 and 2010, his company won four of five competitive commissions from Coca-Cola Mexico to conceive and build original holiday attractions capable of welcoming approximately 100,000 visitors in two weeks. The winning projects included 4D theaters, a dark ride carousel designed and built from scratch, and a multimedia spectacular combining projection mapping, holographic effects and synchronized screens.

About Us

Beginning in 2008, Rodolfo and his teams also designed and built dozens of multimillion-dollar dancing fountains in Mexico and Norway, integrating water choreography, lighting, engineering, multimedia and custom control.

About Us

After moving to the United States in 2011, Rodolfo's work included projects connected with the USS Lexington, NASA, the Blue Angels, the Museum of Flight, the Intrepid Museum, the USS Midway Museum, the National Naval Aviation Museum, The Franklin Institute and the City of Austin. Today, he leads Magnus Creative Technologies as a creative visionary, maker and technical integrator.

Rather than forcing every project through a fixed organization, Magnus assembles the designers, engineers, artists, programmers, fabricators and specialist partners each vision requires. The result is a founder-led studio built around a simple promise: Imagine Anything. We Will Make It Happen.
